ABOUT CASA LOS MONOS

Casa Los Monos is a recently renovated, two-bedroom private home featuring a swimming pool, lush landscaping, a fenced-in yard, and added security. Designed for families looking to enjoy the active lifestyle of Playa Guiones while having a peaceful and secure retreat, this home offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.

ON THE INSIDE

This thoughtfully designed home includes two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The master bedroom features a queen-sized bed, while the guest bedroom offers a queen-sized bed along with a bunk bed—ideal for families or groups. Additionally, the Balinese twin-sized couch in the living area doubles as an extra bed for added convenience.

The fully equipped kitchen comes stocked with stainless steel appliances, cookware, utensils, and everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals. After a day of exploring, unwind in the living room with a television and Apple TV—perfect for catching up on your favorite Netflix shows once the sun has set.

Please note: A washer and dryer are not available for guest use for stays under 30 days. However, a convenient drop-off/pick-up laundry service is available in North Guiones.

ON THE OUTSIDE

Casa Los Monos is surrounded by the vibrant wildlife of Costa Rica, offering you the chance to spot iguanas, monkeys, and parrots right in your backyard. Take in the jungle views while lounging by the pool or gather for meals on the outdoor terrace’s dining table.

A vehicle is necessary when renting this home, but there is ample secure parking within the fenced property.

As part of your stay, a member of our team will assist with travel arrangements before your arrival, including providing a discount code for car rentals through National Car Rental. We’re also happy to help arrange activities such as surf lessons, board rentals, private yoga sessions, horseback riding, zipline tours, and more. Our bilingual team is always available to answer any questions and ensure your stay is seamless.

LOCATION IS EVERYTHING

Perched high on the hill in the EE Section, Casa Los Monos offers a secluded escape with breathtaking views. Despite its privacy, the lively town of Guiones and the beach are just a 5-minute drive down the hill, offering easy access to dining, shopping, and outdoor adventures.

Please note: The Las Huacas residential community enforces a strict noise ordinance from 10 PM to 7 AM. As this is a residential area, disturbances and events—such as parties, weddings, and raves—are not permitted.

LOCAL QUIRKS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AREA OF COSTA RICA

While Costa Rica's infrastructure is steadily improving, it's important to note that some things are beyond our control. During your stay, you may experience occasional dust, bugs, and power, water, or internet outages. These are common in the area and part of the experience of immersing yourself in a different country and culture.

If staying connected is essential during your visit, we recommend looking into internet data plans available through your cellular provider. Additionally, please be aware that Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities, which means construction noise may be present between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. We make every effort to keep our guests informed about ongoing construction that may impact their stay, but unfortunately, we do not always receive advance notice of new projects.

Regarding plumbing, please note that the septic system in Nosara does not allow toilet paper to be flushed (with a few exceptions). We kindly ask that you adhere to this guideline during your stay.

We are committed to providing the best possible experience, but we want to ensure that all guests are aware of these local quirks before booking. Refunds and concessions will not be provided for the above-mentioned issues, as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. IMPORTANT NOTICE

We want to ensure that your stay in Nosara is safe and enjoyable. Like many beach communities, petty theft can occasionally be an issue in the area. Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities, so we kindly ask that you take the following precautions during your stay:

• Always keep doors and windows locked when you're away from the property and at night. If your sliding doors or windows have security bars, please ensure they are in place. If you cannot find the bars, contact us as soon as possible.

• Never leave valuables or personal items unattended when you leave the house, including electronics, identification, and anything else of apparent value.

• Do not leave valuables in your car while you’re out, and avoid leaving anything on your front or back patios unattended.

• If your property has a security alarm, always set it when you leave, even for short periods of time.

While a security guard is not included with your rental, we can arrange for one upon request. If you'd like to hire a security guard for part or all of your stay, please let us know during the booking process and specify the hours you'd like covered.

Please be aware that, even with these precautions in place, theft can still occur in Nosara. Rent Nosara, the homeowner, and the property manager are not responsible for any loss of items due to theft.
